Distribution, Logistics, and TransportationWhen it comes to logistics, it boils down to location, location, location and the transportation network that gets you to your customers and suppliers. Effingham County meets both of those needs. We’re near the center of the U.S. and home to the meeting point of North-South Interstate 57 and East-West Interstate 70. The Illinois Department of Transportation recently completed the final phase of a six-year, $155 million project which has created six lanes of traffic through the city’s I-57 and I-70 connectors, as well as replacing all three interchange exits, reconstructing overpasses and adding a new pedestrian bridge.
