  Thank you for your interest in Effingham County, IL. 

As President and CEO of this organization, I am proud to represent the hard working people of Effingham County where “a job worth doing is a job worth doing right” is evident. I am pleased with the recent growth in our community; Beck’s Hybrids (new facility), John Boos & Company, Koerner Distributor, Inc., ADM Alliance Nutrition, Hodgson Mill (expansions), along with other firms and retail. This represents over $100 million dollars in new investment announced in Effingham County the last couple of years. We celebrate these achievements and are actively pursuing new opportunities in education, manufacturing and logistics.

Our location is ideal if you are shipping anywhere in the Midwest or coast to coast. This is true either over the road or by rail.

Looking forward, our outlook is strong for continued growth. Lake Land College will be adding to their already vast curriculum. Much discussion is taking place regarding new multi-housing and single family home development. We are in varying stages of applying for USDA grants for programs that will help businesses and residents of Effingham County. Our affordable cost of living, low energy cost and strong public/private school systems, makes Effingham County attractive to families. We are committed to our existing industry partners, as well as focused on the attraction of new investment.

Our website will answer questions about every aspect of our region- from our key industries to our demographics and culture. We are ready to help with the rest and serve as the main point of contact for employers interested in locating, or expanding, in the Effingham area. We want to work in partnership with new or existing primary employers to facilitate and expedite the economic development process. To be successful, an economic development organization must have dedicated and committed partners that work together towards improving the economic climate of the community and region.
